You’ve built a great business…

but the person it serves least is you.

“I’m so overwhelmed and don’t know how to fix it.”

“I work all day and still don’t feel productive.”

“I have a great team, but everything still comes back to me.”

“I’m tired of being the one who has to make every decision”

Sound Familiar?

None of this means your team isn’t capable. It usually means nobody has clear ownership, so everything comes back to you. Let’s put a number on it.

Your Time

Not sure? Think about what you'd bill for an hour, or what an hour spent growing the business brings in.

Where Your Hours Go Each Week

For each area, estimate your weekly hours and how much of it someone else could own if they knew it was theirs.

Know what your team costs? Adjust the hourly estimates

Each estimate starts with the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics median hourly wage for the role closest to that work, brings it forward using the BLS Employment Cost Index (private industry wages rose about 3.9% from mid-2025 through September 2026), then adds benefits and payroll costs, which make up about 30% of what employers spend per hour worked. Client Work uses the BLS average total cost per hour for private industry workers, since it varies so much by business. If you know your own numbers, change them here.

Estimates assume 48 working weeks a year. Your results stay on this page and aren't sent anywhere unless you ask us to email them to you.
